***PATIENT NOTICE***

We would like to reassure all of our patients at this difficult time, that we are still open and seeing patients who require medical intervention and help. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we have had to change how we work to protect our patients and practice staff.

If you need to see or speak to a doctor or nurse, please call the surgery on 01738 622421. You will be asked some details by the receptionist, which will be passed to the clinician, who will then triage the calls and contact patients who require medical help. You may receive a telephone consultation in the first instance with the doctor as many problems can be dealt with over the telephone however, the doctor will then ask you to attend the surgery if they need to see you in person.

We do ask that any patients who have symptoms of Coronavirus DO NOT attend the surgery. The doors to the building are locked and only patients with an appointment are permitted to enter the building. The Clinician you are due to see will meet you at the door wearing PPE (personal protective equipment)  and all patients will have their temperature taken using a contactless thermometer and will be asked if they have any symptoms of Coronavirus before they enter the building. Please do not arrive early for your appointment and please come alone, unless you are unable to.

Prescriptions

Please can all patients order their prescription in the normal manner, either online, by telephoning the prescription line on 01738 564236 or email to mauveprescriptions.tayside@nhs.net or by handing in their slip to the pharmacy or post to the surgery. Please can you make sure you order only what you need and do not stock pile medication. This will only create shortages and prevent those who need medication from getting it.

Covid-19 Symptoms

We ask that all patients who do have symptoms of the virus such as a new continuous dry cough, a high fever or loss of smell and taste to stay at home for 7 days or until 2 days after your fever has gone. All members of your household will need to isolate for 14 days or longer if they also catch the virus. If you feel very unwell please do not call the surgery but phone NHS24 on 111. They will be able to arrange an appointment for you to be assessed at one of the drive through assessment centres at Perth Royal Infirmary or Kings Cross Hospital in Dundee. You will need to attend in your own car or have someone drive you. If none of these are an option for you, transport can be arranged. If you are a passenger please sit in the back seat with the window open and wear a mask if possible. When you are assessed, if you are very unwell you may be admitted to hospital.
